A 21-year veteran of the Edmond Fire Department, Ryan founded Godbehere Land Clearing in 2018 in an effort to reclaim his 700 acres near Kaw City that was overrun with cedar trees. He received a government grant to reduce fire hazards in overgrown grass lands by removing the trees.
